» ROBOTOSAURUS AND THE_NETWORK @ THE CHARLESTON

A couple weekends ago Robotosaurus and The_Network came through and played at The Charleston in good ole Williamsburg, and it was quite possibly one of the most ridiculous events I’ve ever been witness too. Robotosaurus is a chaotic metal hardcore hybrid in the vein of Converge, from Australia. their brand of sci-fi hardcore has been a delight to my ears for a couple years now (they made my best of for music last year) and so I was wildly stoked to see these dudes on their 2nd ever US tour. However midway through the opening band’s set their singer Izzy was rockstar lifestyle might get WASTED! – Gucci Mane. Their set turned out to be a drunken blur of confusion, blast beats, replacement singers, coke breaks and a lot of falling down. Not exactly what I expected going in but nonetheless the band sans Izzy was ridiculously tight and focused. If you have a chance to see these dudes or The_Network (who were ridiculously heavy in a Coalesce-y kinda way) I guarantee you’ll at the very least be wildly entertained.
