For awhile now I’ve been wanting to put together this mixtape1 to share with you dear readers. It’s some of the jams that regularly rock my shit on that space disco/italo disco/electro ish. Translated for those of you that don’t spend hours on youtube looking at videos of Italian dance shows from the 70s, it’s a bunch of stuff that’s heavy on the synthesizers and space noises, occasionally a lil vocoder or some falsetto thrown in for fun. Basically this is the type of shit I throw on when I turn on my wall of LED lights in my bedroom and want to get real heavy into that Barbarella/10 Forward kinda vibe. Intergalactic chill out, space out, make out, think tank type of joints.
All these jams are from the 70′s or early 80′s, so there’s no Daft Punk or Kavinsky or anything like that, but instead OG dudes like Giorgio Moroder, Space, Yellow Magic Orchestra and Gino Soccio. The type of bands you could name drop if you ever ran into Justice and have them say “Ah oui oui!” on some beard strokey music nerd shit, not that I advocate such things.
Hopefully, ya’ll are into it and jam it down when you’re trying to get into the right head space for astral projection or whatever it is the kids do on weekends now days.

krewl added these pithy words on Dec 23 09 at 12:42 pmso good dude. I wonder if my co-workers would mind me busting out with a fog machine while I zone out to this.
ray added these pithy words on Dec 23 09 at 12:45 pmits in the union contract, fog machines are totally acceptable.
krewl added these pithy words on Dec 24 09 at 12:30 pmWould it also be acceptable to sample a cascade of champale poured down some fine lady’s buttcrack? This mix just puts me in that kind of mood.
ray added these pithy words on Dec 25 09 at 1:48 pmi think cognac would be the preferable alcohol to sample off the ass crack. I hear it warms the insides, which is important in these wintery times. I don’t know though, I fucks with sparkling grape juice when im on my velvet robe shit.
